Goal
Determine whether the station hardware is unreliable.

Steps
1) Swap network cable or port with a known-good station.
2) If possible, temporarily move the station to a different network drop.
3) Monitor for repeat stalls.
4) If failures follow the hardware → flag device for replacement or reimage.
5) Document:

  • Station ID/location
  • Hardware model
  • Frequency of stalls

Artifacts to Capture

  • Station name/role
  • Time of stall
  • Whether restart always fixes it
  • Network type (wired/Wi-Fi)
