- Disable unsupported modes
2) Confirm correct printer driver
- Verify driver matches printer model and emulation
- Avoid generic drivers
- Reinstall vendor driver if unsure
3) Check firmware compatibility
- Confirm firmware version supports current driver
- Update firmware if recommended
- Reboot printer after update
4) Verify application print output mode
- Confirm application is not sending raw binary data
- Disable test or debug print modes
- Reset print configuration if recently changed
5) Check connection integrity
- Replace USB or Ethernet cable
- Avoid long or low-quality cables
- Test alternate port or connection type
6) Clear printer buffer
- Power off printer
- Wait 30 seconds
- Power on and retest
7) Test with simple output
- Print basic text-only ticket
- Confirm characters print correctly
8) Escalation check
- If corruption continues:
- Capture sample output
