1) Verify ticket cut command placement

  • Confirm cut command is issued only at end of ticket
  • Remove any mid-ticket cut or feed commands

2) Check ticket length calculations

  • Review ticket layout and line count logic
  • Ensure application correctly calculates total ticket length
  • Avoid dynamic content pushing cut command early

3) Inspect printer driver cut settings

  • Open Printing Preferences
  • Confirm cutter mode is set to cut at end only
  • Disable any automatic mid-job cutting options

4) Verify firmware cut behavior

  • Check printer firmware version
  • Review vendor notes for cutter timing issues
  • Update firmware if fixes are available

5) Inspect cutter sensor and mechanics

  • Power off printer
  • Open cutter area and check sensor alignment
  • Remove debris and ensure cutter moves freely

6) Test with simplified ticket

  • Print a basic ticket with known length
  • Confirm ticket prints fully before cutting
  • Gradually restore full template and retest

7) Test multiple orders

  • Send several test orders
  • Confirm each prints on a single ticket with one cut

8) Escalation check

  • If premature cutting continues:
  • Capture sample split tickets
  • Record printer model, firmware, and driver details
  • Escalate to application or hardware support
