1) Verify system date and time

  • Check date and time on POS workstation
  • Confirm correct timezone is selected
  • Correct any visible drift or mismatch

2) Verify server or CSC time (if applicable)

  • Confirm application server time matches POS
  • Ensure all systems use the same timezone
  • Restart services after correcting time

3) Check printer internal clock (if supported)

  • Access printer configuration menu
  • Verify printer date and time settings
  • Sync printer clock if configurable

4) Verify time synchronization service

  • Confirm NTP or domain time sync is enabled
  • Force time resynchronization if supported
  • Avoid manual time changes during business hours

5) Check CMOS battery (workstations)

  • Identify if system clock resets after reboot
  • Replace CMOS battery if time does not persist
  • Reboot and confirm time remains correct

6) Test printed output

  • Print test tickets
  • Confirm date and time are accurate
  • Verify consistency across multiple prints

7) Escalation check

  • If time remains incorrect:
  • Capture sample tickets
  • Record system, server, and printer time values
  • Escalate to systems or application support
