Purpose
Restart the print service after reboot so printers are detected correctly.

Preconditions

• Server has completed boot
• Printer is powered on and ready

Steps

1. Log into the store server as hds.
2. Restart the print service:

Wait 10 seconds for devices to re-register.

Validation

• Check printer status in CUPS
• Send a test receipt
• Confirm printer shows online

Notes
If the printer remains offline after restart, do not reboot again.
Escalate for hardware or device enumeration review.
