- Confirm auto-cut is enabled
- Disable any delayed or batch cutting options
2) Check application cut command behavior
- Verify POS / CSC is configured to cut after each ticket
- Disable cut-on-next-job or batch modes if present
- Save and reapply ticket settings
3) Inspect printer driver settings
- Open Printing Preferences
- Confirm cut command is not suppressed or delayed
- Reset driver settings to default if unsure
4) Test cutter responsiveness
- Run printer self-test or diagnostic mode
- Observe cut timing consistency
- Check for sluggish or inconsistent cutter movement
5) Inspect cutter mechanism
- Power off printer
- Open cutter area and remove debris
- Ensure cutter moves freely without resistance
6) Check firmware behavior
- Review printer firmware version
- Update firmware if vendor notes cutter timing fixes
- Reboot printer after update
7) Test controlled prints
- Print single-ticket jobs repeatedly
- Confirm cut occurs immediately at end of each ticket
8) Escalation check
- If cut timing remains inconsistent:
- Capture sample output
- Record printer model, firmware, and driver versions
- Escalate to hardware or application support
