1) Verify ticket cut command placement
- Open POS / CSC ticket or receipt template
- Confirm cut command is issued only at end of ticket
- Remove any mid-ticket cut or feed commands
2) Check ticket length calculations
- Review ticket layout and line count logic
- Ensure application correctly calculates total ticket length
- Avoid dynamic content pushing cut command early
3) Inspect printer driver cut settings
- Open Printing Preferences
- Confirm cutter mode is set to cut at end only
- Disable any automatic mid-job cutting options
4) Verify firmware cut behavior
- Check printer firmware version
- Review vendor notes for cutter timing issues
- Update firmware if fixes are available
5) Inspect cutter sensor and mechanics
- Power off printer
- Open cutter area and check sensor alignment
- Remove debris and ensure cutter moves freely
6) Test with simplified ticket
- Print a basic ticket with known length
- Confirm ticket prints fully before cutting
- Gradually restore full template and retest
7) Test multiple orders
- Send several test orders
- Confirm each prints on a single ticket with one cut
8) Escalation check
- If premature cutting continues:
- Capture sample split tickets
- Record printer model, firmware, and driver details
- Escalate to application or hardware support
