P-000071-02 — Verify Network Connection to Kitchen Display

Purpose:
Confirm the Kitchen Display Screen has a live network connection to the POS server.

Steps:

  1. At the Kitchen Display Screen, confirm the screen is powered on.
  2. Check network status indicator (if visible in the application or OS).
  3. Verify physical network:
    • Ethernet cable firmly connected
    • Network switch port lights active
  4. If using Wi-Fi:
    • Confirm Wi-Fi is connected
    • Signal strength is stable
  5. If possible, perform a quick network test:
    • Ping the POS server
    • Or access another known network resource
  6. Reseat network cable or reconnect Wi-Fi if needed.
  7. Relaunch the kitchen display application.
  8. Confirm new orders now appear.

Result:
Kitchen Display Screen receives live order updates over the network.
