Purpose:
Confirm the Kitchen Display Screen has a live network connection to the POS server.
Steps:
- At the Kitchen Display Screen, confirm the screen is powered on.
- Check network status indicator (if visible in the application or OS).
- Verify physical network:
• Ethernet cable firmly connected
• Network switch port lights active - If using Wi-Fi:
• Confirm Wi-Fi is connected
• Signal strength is stable - If possible, perform a quick network test:
• Ping the POS server
• Or access another known network resource - Reseat network cable or reconnect Wi-Fi if needed.
- Relaunch the kitchen display application.
- Confirm new orders now appear.
Result:
Kitchen Display Screen receives live order updates over the network.
