Purpose:
Ensure the Kitchen Display Screen and POS server clocks are synchronized, preventing stale or rejected order data.
Steps:
- Check the system date and time on the Kitchen Display Screen.
- Check the system date and time on the POS server.
- Confirm:
• Date is correct
• Time is correct
• Time zone matches on both systems - If time is incorrect on the Kitchen Display Screen:
• Correct the date/time
• Reboot the screen if required - If time is incorrect on the POS server:
• Correct the system clock
• Restart the kitchen display process - Relaunch the kitchen display application.
- Verify new orders now appear and update in real time.
Result:
Time-aligned systems allow proper order flow and display updates.
