Steps
1) Schedule periodic KDS app/service restarts (daily or weekly).
2) Disable unnecessary background processes on KDS devices.
3) Keep all KDS stations on identical versions.
4) Monitor peak performance after changes.
5) Document:

  • Peak order count
  • Duration of lag
  • Devices affected
