Goal
Reduce future lost-in-gap scenarios and capture data for escalation.

Steps
1) After any outage or reconnect storm:

  • Cross-check POS vs KDS for a short window.
    2) Prefer full service restart over partial restarts after outages.
    3) If supported, enable:
  • Snapshot + recent-history replay on client join
    4) Document gap incident:
  • Order IDs missing
  • Disruption window
  • Restart sequence used
    5) Escalate as a critical reliability issue if gaps repeat.

  • Order timestamps
  • Disruption event details
  • Versions/builds involved
